Tissue Culture Lights

Tissue culture is a plant propagation technique in which small plant tissues, cells, or organs are grown under sterile laboratory conditions on a nutrient-rich culture medium. This method enables the rapid production of disease-free, genetically uniform plants throughout the year. Successful tissue culture requires carefully controlled environmental conditions, including temperature, humidity, and light quality. The lighting requirement generally ranges between 30–100 µmol/m²/s PPFD, depending on the plant species and growth stage. A balanced full-spectrum light enriched with Blue and Red wavelengths promotes healthy shoot initiation, leaf development, and root formation. Typically, cultures are exposed to 14–16 hours of light per day to support optimal growth and development.
